Overview
We are seeking a motivated Laser Cutting Machine Programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC laser cutting machines to produce high-quality sheet metal components. Your expertise will ensure precise fabrication while maintaining safety and efficiency standards across our production processes.

Duties

  • Develop and input CNC laser cutting programs based on detailed blueprints and technical specifications
  • Set up laser cutting machines, including adjusting tooling, fixtures, and parameters for optimal performance
  • Operate CNC laser cutters safely and efficiently to produce accurate parts according to specifications
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on laser cutting equipment
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents
  • Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to optimize production workflows

Qualifications

  • Proven experience programming CNC laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and tooling setup
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances
  • Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of tooling setup, fabrication techniques, and machining processes
