Mechanical Drafter/Designer

Job Description:

In this role, you will be a critical member of an engineering team, responsible for translating engineering designs and concepts into detailed technical drawings and models using CAD software. You ensure that all designs are accurate, adhere to industry standards, and are suitable for manufacturing and assembly.

 

Responsibilities:

-Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and design specifications.

-Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models and drawings of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks software.

-Review and analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and data to assess factors affecting component designs and manufacturing procedures.

-Incorporate dimensions, materials, and other engineering information onto drawings, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

-Modify and revise existing designs and drawings to correct operating deficiencies, reduce production problems, or reflect design changes.

-Perform basic calculations related to dimensions, tolerances, and material properties.

-Maintain organized project documentation, including drawing database and version control.
