Design Engineer

Twist is looking for a detail oriented individual to join our Tooling Design Team.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

Design machine/form tools to manufacture productions parts based off customer blue prints
Follow all assigned projects in a cradle to grave manner, ensuring all aspects of the project are complete
Custom design and modification of many different varieties of machine tools, automation and special machines
Work closely with management and production to design and build the best quality tools for our customers’ specific needs
Design of progressive dies
Design weld fixtures/jigs for machining or robotic welding
Assist in troubleshooting and building tooling designs on the tool room floor, utilizing measurement tools, various hand and power tools
Engineering Degree or a minimum of 3 years previous experience in a similar field
Proficiency in Solidworks Mechanical required
Must be able to work independently or with a team
Strong background in understanding and implementing proper GD&T on all released drawings to manufacturing
